We spoke with one of Gavin's Doctor's today and he said he is doing well. He will continue to stay on the ventilator and is sedated to keep him comfortable. The ventilator is just giving him a little extra air. They will continue on the nasal medication until Thursday to shink the polyps and then possibly check his nasal passages with a scope to see if the polyps have shrunk. They are also going to send a blood sample to Mayo for a genetic test to check for Cystic Fibrosis. Nasal polyps are sometimes found in babies with Cystic Fibrosis. There is a very small chance that the problem is Cystic Fibrosis since both Priscilla and I would have to be carriers of the gene. So we are no too worried about Cycstic Fibrosis and they are just running the blood test to rule it out completely. The test will take at least a week to get the results. At this time, there are no other concerns.
